bakebook is a recipe development and storage app. Keep everything you bake in one place, then use it as a workbench: change a ratio, log what happened, and build the next version on what the last one taught you.
All your recipes in one list, or sorted into categories you name and photograph. Search either one. Sort by what you looked at last, edited last, or bake most often.
Build a recipe out of parts. A layer cake can hold its cake, its frosting and its filling as separate components, each with its own ingredients and method. Scale the whole thing to any yield and switch between grams and cups, and every number follows.
Make-it mode walks you through the method one step at a time, sized for a screen you glance at with flour on your hands.
Every bake gets a log entry: what you changed, how it came out, what to try next. Your notes live with the recipe, so the tenth version knows what the first one learned.
butter is an AI baking assistant that has already read the recipe you are looking at. Ask why the crumb came out dense, what happens if you swap the sugar, or how to make a version without eggs. butter can write a variation straight into your bakebook, or add a new component to the recipe you are working on.
Paste a link or photograph a page, and bakebook pulls the recipe into a structured form you can edit and scale. Send any recipe as a link, and whoever opens it can read the whole thing without an account.
bakebook runs in any modern web browser, and as an app on iPhone and iPad through the App Store. An Android version is in testing.
bakebook needs an account so your recipes reach every device you use. You can create one with an email address and password, or sign in with Google or Apple. When you use a social sign-in we receive your name, email address and profile photo from that provider, and we use them only to identify your account and show you who is signed in. We never post anything on your behalf, and we never read anything else in your Google or Apple account.
Your recipes, photos, notes and bake logs are stored in your own account and are visible only to you, unless you deliberately create a share link for a recipe. We do not sell your information, show you ads, or use third-party advertising trackers.

bakebook is free to use. bakebook+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that raises the recipe limit and opens up butter. Pricing is always shown in the app before you buy, and you can cancel any time through the app store you bought it from. The terms of use spell out the details.
